Sometimes I like to dig up my past
And find reasons to become a mess
Nibble at my mistakes
Forgive some at the end
Try to learn a lesson
But leave trying.
Revert back to my old own self
And keep backing up again
So the lessons keep coming
Again and again.
Lose the old refuge
And find a new temporary solace
Till reason rescues me once again.

This poem has practically lived a shelf existence for the past Six months or more even though it was complete the day it was written. I don't remember what prompted me to never publish it till now. Because this poem talks of grief? Or because such revelations are best kept a secret? I will never remember.
